TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. INTRODUCTION
Welcome to October Studio ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our website, services, or purchasing/hiring from our collection, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our services.
2. DAMAGE
All hire items must be returned in the same condition they were provided. Any loss, damage, or excessive wear will incur repair or replacement fees, which will be invoiced to the client. Clients are responsible for handling and transporting items with care. Damage will be assessed upon return.
3. QUOTES & ENQUIRIES
For all hire items, purchases, or custom work, clients must first submit an enquiry. Communication will be carried out via email or text, as nominated by the client. A quote and/or invoice will then be provided, along with instructions on how to proceed. We aim to respond to enquiries within 1 business day. Please allow adequate time for correspondence, particularly during peak seasons.
4. HIRE ITEMS
Identity Verification: To verify your identity for rentals, we may request a valid Australian Government-issued ID or proof of age card. A photo of this document will be securely stored temporarily for the duration of the rental and deleted once the transaction is completed.
Eligibility: Hire services are available exclusively to clients within the Adelaide metro area.
Booking & Payment: Full payment is required upfront to confirm your hire booking. Unpaid bookings will not be processed.
Cancellations:
Cancelled more than 7 days before the event: full refund.
Cancelled within 7 days: 50% refund.
Cancelled within 48 hours: no refund.
Rental Period: The hire period is generally for the duration of your event. If you require a specific timeframe for delivery or pickup, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to accommodate. Late returns may incur additional charges.
Pickup & Delivery:
Clients are encouraged to collect and return hire items themselves where possible.
Pickup location will be provided upon booking confirmation.
Some items require delivery and setup by our team. A $40 delivery and pickup fee applies.
Delivery is currently available within the Adelaide metro area only. Times will be arranged prior to the event and are subject to availability.
Customisation:
Some hire items can be customised (e.g. vinyl lettering).
Available options will be confirmed before production begins. Additional fees apply.
Requests must be submitted at least 7 days before your event. However, advanced notice is strongly encouraged to avoid disappointment.
Item-Specific Notes:
Silverware: Must be rinsed of all food residue before return. Do not scrub or use abrasive cleaners. Candle holders are strictly for LED or unlit candles only.
Mirrored Signage: Includes vinyl lettering and satin base fabric. Requires delivery, setup, and pickup ($40 fee). The satin base is hand-draped on-site and may differ slightly in appearance from event to event. Get in touch for requests regarding satin colour, font & vinyl colour.
Plinths: Must be returned clean and free of tape, adhesive, or styling residue. Handle with care to avoid dents or scratches.
Wishing Wells: Lids are secured with strong but removable adhesive. A tutorial video of lid removal can be provided on request. Vinyl customisation available on 'Mauve' and 'Classic' styles.
Champagne Tower: Glasses are delicate and temporarily secured with removable adhesive to maintain the tower’s structure. They must be emptied and gently rinsed after use. Towers can be pre-stacked for pickup or delivered and set up by our team for an additional $40. Optional add-on: 2 bottles of Chandon Brut for $60 (must be 18+ with valid Australian ID).
Frames: Frames are for hire only and do not include signage unless otherwise stated. Some require delivery due to size or fragility ($40 fee).
5. ITEMS FOR PURCHASE
All products are made to order and may be customised depending on the item. Full payment is required upfront before production begins. Orders will not be processed until payment is received. A proof will be provided for all personalised or custom items and must be confirmed by the customer prior to production.
Most items can be posted Australia-wide (delivery fees apply) or collected from our Adelaide location. No refunds or exchanges are available for change of mind. Product availability and designs may change over time.
Item-Specific Notes:
Disposable Camera Wraps (Plain): Available to purchase via October Studio Etsy Store. Cameras are NOT included, WRAP ONLY. Designed for Kodak FunSaver only. Wrap shape is fixed and includes a 'Flash' icon always. Colours may differ slightly in person compared to image on screen. Wraps are made from adhesive paper and should be applied with care. Application directions included with order.
Personalised Oxford Pillowcase: Available to purchase via October Studio Etsy Store. Oxford pillowcases are made to order and sold individually. Lettering is applied in a permanent matte, black or red heat-bonded vinyl. Pillowcases are standard size, made from soft-washed 100% cotton with a 300 thread count and 5cm flange edge. Font size may vary depending on personalisation and style type. Please allow 3–5 business days for production. Please review all spelling and selections carefully before placing your order. Refunds are not accepted for change of mind or customer-submitted errors. Care instructions are provided with each order.
6. CUSTOM WORK
Before proceeding with any custom work, clients must first enquire via our website or email. We will respond with a quote and/or invoice along with instructions on how to proceed.
Custom requests are welcome if they align with our brand style, capabilities, and material availability.
Full payment is required upfront before the design process begins. Orders will not be processed without payment. Clients will be provided with a digital proof to approve before production. No changes can be made once approved.
We recommend enquiring at least 2 weeks in advance. Not all requests can be accommodated.
As our custom orders are made to order and entail customisation/ outsourcing of materials, refunds or returns are not permitted unless such items arrive damaged or faulty.

Item-Specific Notes:
Fabric Signs: Handmade using heat transfer vinyl commonly on satin, mesh, or linen. Hems are finished by hand and may show minor fraying on the reverse. Clients may choose from available fabric, vinyl colour, and size options. Ribbon and eyelet holes can be added for an additional fee. Signs can be posted, collected, or set up on-site for an additional fee. All sales are final once production begins.

Event Stationery: All stationery is made to order and printed on your selected paper stock. Clients may choose from available colour, paper weight, and finish options through enquiry. All designs must be approved and paid in full before production begins. Orders are final once approved for print. Minor variations in colour may occur due to screen differences and print processes.
7. PAYMENT TERMS
Pricing: All prices are listed in AUD and are subject to change without notice. Prices do not include additional fees or shipping unless stated. All pricing and invoicing will be issued in Australian Dollars (AUD). Custom pricing is provided via quote.
Payment Methods: Payment is accepted via bank transfer only. Details will be provided at the time of booking. October Studio does not store your payment information.
8. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
Care: Items must be handled with care.
Returns: Items must be returned clean and in original condition. Loss or damage will incur additional charges.
Customisation Accuracy: Clients are responsible for confirming all customisation details. October Studio is not liable for errors once designs are approved.
9. DIGITAL CONTENT SHARING
We may share images of our work on our website and social media. For sensitive or private projects, we will seek consent before posting.
10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content, including designs, imagery, and text, is owned by October Studio. Use of this content without written permission is prohibited.
11. PRIVACY
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for how we collect, use, and store your personal information.
12. DISCLAIMER
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to our website. Use is at your own risk. October Studio is not responsible for losses caused by website issues or third-party services.
13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by law, October Studio is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of our services or products.
14. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold October Studio harmless from any claims or damages resulting from your breach of these Terms.
15. FORCE MAJEURE
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control (e.g., weather events, illness, supply chain issues).
16. AMENDMENTS
We may update these Terms at any time. Updates will be published on this page and effective immediately upon posting.
17. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
We aim to resolve all issues informally. Unresolved disputes will be governed by South Australian law and handled by South Australian courts.
